Volunteers needed: Ask-A-Librarian Event


This week, April 11-17 is National Library week.  In honor of this event, ALSO is teaming up with ALA-SC to help staff an Ask-A-Librarian reference station at a booth in Memorial Union this Wednesday, April 14th from 10am-3pm.

We are looking for volunteers who would be able to donate about an hour of their time on short notice this Wednesday to help staff the event.

The desk will be staffed with one professional librarian from the many academic libraries on the UW campus, and one SLIS student for each hour of the event.  This could be a great networking experience for those of you thinking about the job-search after graduation.  It will also be a great learning opportunity as well as a nice volunteer experience to list on your resume!

We are looking for volunteers to fill the following times:

10:00-11:00 AM

11:00-11:45 AM

11:45-1:00 PM

2:00-3:00 PM
